Greggs - Retail Shop Supervisor

Company: Greggs Plc

Pay: £9.74 per hour, paid weekly 

Contract type: Permanent, 35 hours per week 

We have various shifts available in this exciting new shop at Leeds Bradford Airport. The shop will trade 7 days a week & you would be required to work a range of open & close shifts, 5 days over 7. Availability to work Saturday & Sunday is essential. The opening shifts start at 3:30am & the closing shift will end at 12:30am. We would be happy to discuss shift patterns at interview. Early & late shifts and weekend working will be on a rota basis.

What you'll do:

Supervisors are at the heart and soul of our shops. Working closely with the manager and team, our Supervisors make sure our customers have a great visit every time they come into a Greggs shop. As well as some of the more practical tasks such as food prep and keeping the shop clean; you’ll also keep your team engaged and motivated to deliver the fast and friendly service Greggs is famous for. Our Retail Supervisors are responsible for managing the shop when the Shop Manager isn’t around; as second in command, Supervisors really are our shop managers’ right-hand person.

Revenue Manager

In the role, you will:

·         Support the Manager, Commercial & Strategy in setting and delivering strategies, budgets and KPI’s across LBA’s in-house commercial products

·         Yield manage LBA’s in-house commercial products on a daily, weekly, monthly basis to deliver the revenue results required by the product owners

·         Monitor revenue/occupancy and undertake performance analysis on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to identify areas of focus/onward revenue progression

·         Provide detailed reporting to the product owners, identifying actionable trends and insights, which deliver demonstrable commercial gains

·         Identify new business opportunities and ways of working to continually improve LBA’s revenue performance

Aviation Security Officers

We are currently recruiting for part time Aviation Security Officers to join our team.

The part time security officer will be contracted to 21 hours per week, on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.


This is a customer facing role in which you will be required;

·         To carry out full and effective searches of baggage and airport supplies

·         To carry out full and effective searches of people

·         To carry out full and effective searches of vehicles

·         Undertake patrols of the airport terminal & grounds

·         To control access into restricted areas of the Airport

·         Check identification or travel documents for all passengers, staff and airport users requiring access to restricted areas

·         Deal with on-site security incidents with the team

·         Operate the x-ray equipment to screen all luggage for both the cabin and hold including other items being carried into restricted areas

·         Provide excellent customer service to all passengers travelling through the airport

·         Help with other departments at the airport if/when required

A full training programme will be provided to the successful candidates to ensure that they have the knowledge, skills and confidence required to carry out this vital role for the Airport.


Requirements of the Role;

  ·         You will need to be aged 18 or over

  ·         Must have a driving licence and own transport

  ·         A confident communicator with excellent communication skills (oral & written)

  ·         A team player with attention to detail

  ·         Excellent customer service experience is desirable

  ·         Second language is desirable

  ·         The successful candidate must be flexible to operational needs (delayed/diverted flights).

  ·         Be able to achieve the required standard/pass rate when attending all relevant training courses in line with the requirements of the Department for Transport (DfT) and the Company.

As a Team Leader in our units, you will be responsible of the smooth running of the shift and coordinating duties, you will be training and supporting new members of the team and ensure all health and & food safety practices are followed so previous experience in similar role is essential. If you are friendly, approachable and have great initiative that’s a perfect start! Previous experience in a fast-food environment is desirable but not essential.
