Leeds Bradford Airport has signed up to the Department for Transport’s Northern Powerhouse Business Partnership programme, alongside many other businesses in the north.
The programme seeks to build a bigger voice for the northern region of the UK to attract inward investment. Working together, the range of businesses will champion the impact of tourism, transport investments and job opportunities as being crucial to improving the economy in the north.
Tony Hallwood, Aviation Development Director, said: “We’re very pleased to be a member of the Northern Powerhouse Business Partnership. Economic growth and investment are crucial and it is imperative that we push for this collectively to drive the agenda forward for the region. This programme gives a combined approach for businesses working alongside the Government to deliver a prosperous future for the north.”
