Discover Warsaw

The capital of Poland is fast becoming one of Europe’s top destinations. A city saturated with history and culture, it attracts travellers all year round. The long, warm summer months are perfect for a relaxing city break but you'll find when the seasons change, Warsaw transforms into a magical, cosy winter wonderland.

A royal arrangement

Nestled within the city are several parks, most notably Lazienki Park, home to the Royal Palace - the King’s summer residence. A relaxed atmosphere and plenty of wildlife make it the perfect place to take a break from the buzz of the city – a favourite amongst locals during summer.

The walk between the two palaces, along the River Vistula is a shopper’s paradise, hosting several designer names and boutique stores. The area is brimming with exquisite cafe bars, why not take a break, grab a table on the edge of the river and sample the local cuisine, watching the world go by.

Something old and something new

Ironically, despite the name the Old Town is only around 50 years old, the square has been lovingly restored to its former beauty after being reduced to rubble during the War. The residents’ determination and dedication to the project ensured it was placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. One of the best ways to truly appreciate the Square and everything it has to offer is by taking one of the guided walking tours available.

Why not immerse yourself in the history and culture of the city - there are several museums to peruse. The Warsaw Rising Museum is definitely worth a look, it houses a collection of photographs, films and artefacts charting the Polish uprising against the Nazis in the 1940’s. Another must see is the Palace of Culture and Science in the iconic PKiN, a gift from the Soviet Union in the 1950’s. It still holds the accolade of the tallest building in Poland and now boasts 2 museums, a cinema complex and a viewing terrace.
